We kicked off summer in grand style this week with a flash road trip around our great state. Nick had a presentation to give up north and so we took advantage of it and traveled with the whole family and got a chance to show the boys some new country.
First stop the dinosaur fossil cabin. A cabin made entirely out of dinosaur fossil bones.

Thermopolis Hot Springs. |

And finally, Hells Half Acre--the last scenic stop. |
THe final stop on our trip was Dan Speas fish hatchery.
The kids liked feeding the little fish and seeing newly hatched fish.
We really kicked off summer the right way. And for the Fourth of July, we will be camping. Everything this year points to the ability to have a campfire which makes camping so much fun.
How are you kicking off summer?
Spin it up and link up with
Gretchen and
Ginny Marie, they would love to have you!

ReplyDeleteI feel like our Canada Day party on Monday night will be a great way to kick off summer here. And I'm already counting the days to vacation... c'moooon July 25th! Can't wait to be relaxing on the beach at my aunt & uncle's camp!!
I think we need a trip out that way. Though my husband and oldest are going to Arizona, I think it would be cool to explore your part of the country!
ReplyDeleteWe must have gone through your area on our way out to Yellowstone two years ago. Love Thermopolis and the dinosaur museum.
ReplyDeleteThose look like some fun vacation photos. If you schedule allows come visit our famous dinosaur Sue at the Chicago Field Museum.
