- Summer has sapped my energy. Or maybe it's the fact that we have been busy. Swimming in the evenings, running in the morning, work, chasing active boys... yeah, busy.
- Sunday night Bruiser decided that he didn't want to go to bed so he snuck out of bed and explored our bedroom, turned on my clock radio, and then got his blanket and fell asleep on the stairs. I almost stepped on him when I went downstairs to go to bed. (Yes, both his and our bedroom are in the basement. That's just how our house works.) Anybedroomplacement, he looked pretty comfortable sound asleep there.
- It doesn't matter if I've eaten and am totally full, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives always makes me hungry.
- I'm looking forward to the adult time Nick and I get this weekend. Grandparents are taking up the slack and watching the boys so we can enjoy Nick's 20 year reunion without worrying about kiddos. I'm really looking forward to it. Far more so than my 20 last summer(which I ended up skipping).
- Looking at the household chores that I keep having to do exhausts me. Bruiser can create a tornado effect in 10 minutes flat. Turbo is learning how to shed as he goes through the house. At least I can get him to pick up--mostly. I'm working on Bruiser, but he has a real obstinate streak.
- I never knew how much Curious George got into. I'm reading the classic stories with Bruiser before bed. Curious George gets around. Trip to outer space, kite flight, bike rides with circuses, window cleaning, museum crashing. Busy little monkey.
And link it up with the no rules girls Shawn and Impulsive for Talk to Us Tuesday.
With the exception of Guy Fieri, I love Triple D. My husband thinks that guy is hilarious but I think it's b/c he makes fun of him for being stuck in the 90s.
ReplyDeleteHow, too funny about the curious george thing...too true! And hooray for adult time!!!
ReplyDeleteJust at the mention of diners, I am hungry!
ReplyDeleteThat Curious George is a menace! I just pray that my son doesn't get any ideas from that monkey...
Have fun at the reunion!
Ohhh I love Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives too! Literally guaranteed to have me drooling, whether I'm hungry or not!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you have such a good time to look forward to this weekend! Enjoy the kid-free time! :)
enjoy your adult time.
ReplyDeletei agree about the diners they make me hungry to no matter what . enjoy your adult time
ReplyDeleteI always loved Curious George as a kid and so did my daughter. Enjoy your time away from the guys. Love those grandparent types that take over for us needy couples.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the reunion. If you haven't already, you totally need to go shopping for The Perfect Dress! What a great excuse to get a fabulous outfit!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Curious George pancake breakfast story. Honestly, who in their right mind would eat a pancake made by a monkey???
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the reunion! So this means you get to sleep in? What's that like?
ReplyDeleteChores. I hate that word. And I pick up the house daily but I'm not sure why. Emma is ALSO like a tornado on most days. And I need a laundry fairy.
I'm pregnant so I get hungry just reading posts about being hungry! Ha!
Ha, I feel the same way when I watch Man Vs. Food. I can't watch it most of the time because I get major food envy.
ReplyDeleteYour summer sounds busy but fun! I wish we had a place to go swim to cool off. This heat is kicking my booty.
Chores are never ending. I despise them but I also despise my house looking like a trainwreck.
ReplyDeleteI miss Curious George. I'll have to get some of those books for our baby girl.
