Time to Confess

And it's Friday.  One day closer to the presentation I have to give. But the week is over and it's a long weekend here. Have to admit, I am looking forward to that. And with that admission, on to the confessions:

  • I'm really nervous about the trip to Texas.
  • And the presentation.
  • Mostly the presentation.
  • It's going to end up being shorter than my allotted time.
  • We are taking Bruiser to the developmental preschool.
  • There are some concerns about his speech.
  • He talks but doesn't say L sounds.
  • Some of his speech is still a bit hard to understand.
  • So we are going to get some help for him.
  • Not exactly the news you want to hear about your little boy.
  • He also goes over to the pediatric dentist to have a tooth capped on Tuesday.
  • And Turbo gets to go see an orthodontist next month.
  • It all seems to be coming at us right now.
  • I'm quite the Debbie Downer today.
  • But hey, long weekend!
  • That's always nice.
So, what do you need to confess?  Write it up, and link up with Aubrey.

  2. You'll be amazed, it won't take long for the speech thing to be fixed. Sometimes the kiddos I think are just sort of "lazy" about certain sounds.

  3. Aw.. Enjoy your long weekend and don't sweat the speech therapy, it's very common with kids.. :) Try - key word being "try" to slip into a nice bubble bath and remember, "This too shall pass." :)

  4. Awww, girl. I'm sorry it's been a week.

I'm sure that everything will be fine with Bruiser. And orthodontics are pretty much part of life now.

Good luck with that presentation. You're going to rock it.

Thanks for linking up for Friday Confessional. Have a fabulous weekend!

  5. Sometimes life seems to jab us from the right and then gives us an upper left hook. *SIGH*

It is good you are catching the speech thing early. A lot of children with help grow out of it. I will be praying for him. Good luck with the orthodontist and your presentation.

Enjoy your long weekend. You deserve it.
