- Migraines suck. At least mine aren't so bad I have to go to the ER or anything, but still, light sensitivity sound sensitivity, pounding head, and on occasion nausea make for a less than wonderful time.
- Boys can't play quietly. It always escalates to loudly laughing, yells, and squeals (or shrieks, mostly of laughter, but sometimes anger). I am happy they can play together, but there are times...
- My talk I have to give the end of the month is a 30 minute talk. Put me out of my misery now. I so dislike talking in public. I'll end up doing OK, it will probably not last 30 minutes--nerves will shorten it to around 20 minutes, but I can take some questions, I think.
- Bruiser has sort of given up on the pooping thing. He was doing well before Christmas, but then he kind of stopped. He may end up back in pullups if he doesn't figure out he needs to start going again. Those I can throw way.
- Nick discovered how to hook the computer up to the TV. Totally fascinated him and the kids. Nick investigated Hulu and then played with Google Earth and Turbo found Google Universe. Good geeky entertainment for an evening. Now to figure out how to use the Xbox to watch Hulu and such.
- Anyone have any good suggestions for games for the phone--free ones--that are fun and interesting? I have Cut the Rope, 100 floors (which I routinely have to cheat on), Angry Birds, Angry Birds Star Wars (that the boys are far better at than I am) and my personal favorite Solitaire I'd like a few other suggestions.
- I'm home today because the sitter is sick. Another day to rest and hang with Bruiser will be nice.
So what's your random? Go see Stacy and share.
sorry to hear about bruiser he was doing s good hope he gets soon and feel better.
ReplyDeleteUgh, I get migraines, they're horrible! And good luck with the speech, at least you have lots of time to prepare!
ReplyDeleteMy children are ALWAYS loud! Other good games: fruit ninja, this one that's something like Turbo kids, Where's my water?, and Sneezies are some of our favorites.
ReplyDeleteugh, 30 minutes of public speaking? I can barely handle 5. You poor thing! I'm assuming drinking a glass of wine beforehand is frowned upon? ;-)
ReplyDeleteUcky migraines. Don't like them either. You enjoy your day home! Hope the New Year is great for you and your family!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I live in the land of the loud! I don't know if it's because we're Italian, hard of hearing or just obnoxious - maybe all of the above. But it sure would be nice to have peace n' quiet once in a while. My kids used to ask me what I wanted for my birthday, Mother's Day, Christmas.. All I ever said was, "peace and quiet.." I suspect this is the gift I am never to receive. Enjoy your day home. :)
ReplyDeleteI was just talking about migraines. I haven't had one in forever so I likely will have one soon. Boys are absolutely loud. They're nagging me right now. I actually just snapped :Will you please go in the other room and watch TV"? Quality parenting on my part :)
ReplyDeleteThe only game I play on my phone is Draw Something. It's through Facebook and you play with your FB friends. It's totally addictive although my teenage kids say playing it makes me a DORK.
ReplyDeleteUggghhh Migraines are awful I'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh my gosh my girls cannot be quiet either AND they will not stop fighting either. Uggghhh I just wanna tie them together & make them play nice. LOL
Bummer about the no poopy on the potty thing anymore, ugghhh once it happens it is AWESOME!!!
Sorry about the migraine. Hope you're feeling better today!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about the migraine! :(
ReplyDeleteUm...Google Earth on the TV? My boys would love that.
Migraines are horrible! When I get one it usually lasts for days, thanks goodness I only get them every few months.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with public speaking, it's not my favorite but I can do it. What are you talking about? I've been MIA far too long!
