And here we go:
- If the blogging world had a talent show, what would your act be? Reading aloud from a popular book--Harry Potter or something like that. I have it on Nick's authority that I read aloud quite well. Turbo likes my reading to.
- What's the most likely reason you might become famous? Famous? Maybe for winning a large amount of money. I'm really not that interested in fame, but money might be nice.
- What question are you repeatedly asked that you are tired of hearing? What's for dinner? Especially when I have no good idea of what to make--even sometimes when I do have a good idea of what to make because it's often followed by I don't like that--from Turbo mostly. Meal planning has helped but there are just some weeks where meal planning goes right out the window--travel, activities, etc. really derail dinner plans sometimes.
- What's the last thing you broke? Truly broke? The dryer. Or at least it broke. And I am the one who uses it the most. On the other hand I often break my kid's hearts by being the mean mommy and saying bedtime, time to stop playing the game, time to go home, etc.
- Finish the sentence: I can't believe I used to do anything uninterrupted. From a simple conversation to going to the bathroom I am always interrupted by something or someone. Used to be if I did get interrupted in the bathroom, Nick felt bad and immediately left me alone--he never wanted to come keep me company.
All this We Want to Know Wednesday Q&A fun is brought to you by:
I had 4 hours of uninterrupted time at my bother in laws house Saturday while I did laundry....I got bored.
ReplyDeleteThe kids have ruined me!!!
being a good out-loud reader is a good talent. i tend to go too fast.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit the "What's for dinner?" sets my teeth on edge. Not because I can't answer the question, I can but then the negotiation starts.
ReplyDelete(Are you sure you want to make this? Can't we have fries instead?)
I miss uninterrupted time too, we were just talking about how we never realized or appreciated the spare time we had before kids. We have neighbors who are kidless and are always off on motorcycle rides or playing basketball at the park or just chilling. I miss chilling.
ReplyDeleteWe could go on the road, I'm a good out loud reader too. Set up the tour and let me know where to be.
"Are we there yet?" LOL I'm sur someone will put that!
ReplyDelete#5 is totally relevant to anyone who has children!
ReplyDeleteYou could probably bank off of being able to read aloud well! Someone has to read for books on tape!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's for dinner would be an annoying thing to hear all the time I'm sure. Heck, I get annoyed just asking myself it!
oh going to the bathroom alone... those were the days LOL
ReplyDeleteFunny thing about #1-- Being an ex-teacher, that was something I always emphasized. "No one likes a boring and monotoned reader!!" Good for you, sista! :)
ReplyDelete*sigh* the days of going to the bathroom alone.... bliss
Hahaha! The breaking of the kids hearts is a genius answer friend!!! Arent we always guilty of being the meany?
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the bathroom uninterrupted since 96. Times are tough!
ReplyDeleteI was recently told by my 5-year-old nephew that I'm a much better story teller than his mother (my sister), because I do a better job with voices. It's a difficult talent to come by - those of us who have it should feel proud! ;)
ReplyDeletewhen the girls were little... well even when they were teens... we all used the bathroom together. I have many family meetings with me on the toilet. I used to have a dog that sat on my lap also. And now the dog is gone and the girls have left home but I now have Roy and the cats that HAVE GOT TO BE WITH ME WHILE I PEE! Roy at least leaves me in peace when I'm on the rag or have to poop but the cats... nope! always in my business!!
ReplyDeleteSo it never ends. I will always share a bed with Roy and will never pee alone.
What is it about following people to the bathroom? My son follows me in there like I'm doing magic tricks and he's missing out.. LET ME HAVE SOME PEACE!! I relate!!
ReplyDeleteI love your answer to #4! I break my kids hearts to by being the mean mom.
ReplyDeleteReading aloud from a book...thats a good talent, I like to think I have that one too!
ReplyDeleteI think I wrote a whole blog post on alone time once!
ReplyDeleteOh these are my favorites. I love reading random answers!
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny! Love your blog. And I would definitely choose money over fame any day.

My stars, my husband starts asking what's for dinner as soon as breakfast is over. Makes me nuts!
ReplyDeleteTrying to comment on this post alone, I've been interrupted twice..
ReplyDeleteI love to read aloud!
ReplyDeleteVlog your story reading! We would love to see that!
ReplyDeleteMoney! I love money. I'll steal your answer next time.
I used to ask my mom "What's for dinner?" the minute she walked into the house from work. I now understand why she bit my head off every day!!
Thanks for linking up my ever faithful blogging friend!
Amen to your last statement. A-men.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I am not the only one who hates to be asked what is for dinner! yay! And doing things uninteruppted. *sigh*
ReplyDelete"What's for dinner" is a dreaded question in my house. Unfortunately it gets asked way too often.
ReplyDeleteThere could be a further for you in that you know. Books on "tape" are huge right now!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you'll become famous for sharing your new fortune with your ifriends!
Planning the menu is the worst part of my job. I hate deciding what 3 other people are going to want to eat. I try to make each of them tell me one thing they want for dinner and I don't cook on the weekends, so that helps if they tell me more than 'food".
Life uninterrupted ended with childbirth!
