Friday Confessions

Ahhh, Friday.  It may have been a short week, but I'm still glad to see Friday.  I'm always glad to see Friday. Especially going home time on Friday.
With Friday comes the chance to confess, so here goes:

  • Turbo has four days next week that he's in school.
  • It's a throw away week really.
  • Field trip, field day, awards, cleaning out of desks and such.
  • Not a lot of work will happen.
  • They are really just clocking time.
  • It's time to do a go through of Bruiser's toys.
  • He has some that are too young for him and that he only plays with if reminded that they are there.
  • Of to the grandparents' house and through them I will go.
  • I will be doing laundry and detailing the vehicles this weekend.
  • Sounds like a rocking good time at the Jones's, hmmm?
  • We will find time for fun in there somewhere.
  • I really like it when my mom brings breakfast with her in the morning.
  • She watches Bruiser three days a week.
  • I was able to get a crockpot dinner in before we left this morning because I didn't have to do breakfast for little boys.
  • It was so nice.
  • I don't like breakfast.
  • I often skip it at home.
  • I eat something simple at work--yogurt, bagel, something.
  • Just not really into full on breakfast.
  • Maybe because most breakfasts come with eggs.
  • Eggs and I don't really agree.
  • I think they are less than appealing.

Confession Friday

Time once again to confess for Friday.  It's Friday.  Finally.  It's been a long strange week here.  Parts were fun, parts were less than fun.  Let's get on with the confessions, shall we?
  • I don't like running.
  • I don't like running in the afternoon more than I don't like running in the morning.
  • It's easier to do when I'm not totally awake yet.
  • Big weekend for us.
  • Not only because of the holiday.
  • Turbo turns ten.  10.
  • Tomorrow.
  • How can he be ten?
  • I don't feel old enough (most of the time) to have a 10 year old.
  • I've managed to cook according to the menu all week.
  • I'm pretty proud of that.
  • And there hasn't been too much complaining about dinner this week.
  • Score one for mom!
  • Now to do it all over again next week.
  • Not a total fan of the repetitiveness of house work.
  • But since the gnomes, elves and fairies haven't found their way to my door yet...
What do you have to confess?  Link up with Aubrey and confess it all.

Weekend Confessions

Whew, survived another week.  And it was a busy week too.  Soooo happy the weekend is coming. Now on to the confessions:
  • It was great fun going on the field trip with Turbo's class.
  • I have two more to do.
  • My adult body is NOT built to sit on a school bus.
  • Turbo had a great time too:
Turbo is in the green shirt.

  • The cat seems to think our bedspread is it's own personal throw up mat.
  • This necessitates  a new king sized bed spread.
  • Bed spread shopping is frustrating to say the least.
  • They are never big enough for the oversized mattresses out there today.
  • Most end up looking like your trying to get a queen bedspread to fit a king bed.
  • We will go looking on Saturday and see what we can come up with.
  • I'm thinking it's a wine kind of weekend.
  • I've been a bad influence.
  • I got a Kindle Fire HD.
  • Now Nick's Mom has gotten one and my mom is contemplating getting one.
  • Turbo had his Spring Concert last night.
  • It was cute.
  • And now a Woo Hop (Hoo) for Friday!
  • (This comes from an autocorrect mishap last week.)
Hope the weekend is everything you want in a weekend.  Go join Aubrey for more confessions.

Friday, Time to Confess

TGIF! And I really mean that.  Friday took forever to get here this week. I am so so so glad to see Friday. Now to get to going home time--the best part of Friday.  Before that comes though, it's time to confess:

  • I ran this morning.
  • It's been almost two weeks since I last ran.
  • Weather and work kind of got in the way.
  • But we are going to have good weather for a while so running is back on the agenda.
  • I start a run of field trips with Turbo's school next Wednesday.
  • They studied our state history and now they get to go see some of it.
  • Turbo really wants us to go with him.
  • We will take it while he still wants us around him in public.
  • Our days are numbered.
  • He turns ten the end of this month.
  • I get to take the kids and my mom shopping tomorrow.
  • Gives Nick a day to himself.
  • There was just enough frost/water on the steps this morning that I slipped and fell down.
  • Yep, clutzy me is roaming free.
  • It's a wonderful thing when Mother's Day falls on a weekend I don't have to do laundry.
So what are you confessing today? Link up with Aubrey and confess it all!

Time for Confession

Woo Hoo!  It's Friday!  This has been a longish week.  I'm really ready for going home time today.  So let me confess and then I can get on with the day:
  • Next week is going to be stressful.
  • Well at least until Monday noon.
  • By then my talk and Nick's talk will be over.
  • To say we are both a bit stressed over this is and understatement.
  • We will muddle through, but really, not looking forward to it.
  • Camels are not sexy.
  • Nick informed me of this this morning.
  • Dreams about camels are even less sexy.
  • I really like my Kindle Fire HD.
  • So do both boys.
  • Bruiser likes that he can actually do stuff on it.
  • Turbo likes the novelty of it.
  • This morning was a morning that needed a bit of caffeine.
  • Stupid insomnia.
  • Now, if they instituted an afternoon nap time at work, I wouldn't need caffeine.
  • My mom is helping with the laundry today.
  • She's watching Bruiser and since she's there, I got it all sorted, and she's going to do the washer to dryer swap for me.
  • If she folds itm I'll take it as a bonus.
  • I will have to refold some of it, but hey, any part I don't have to do is a bonus.
  • Allergies have started.
  • THe trees are jsut beginning to wake up, but it's enough.
  • Dumb cottonwoods.
  • Ahh, "spring" in Wyoming.
Tuesday evening at our house.
Have anything to confess?  Link it up with Aubrey at High-Heeled Love.

I Must Confess...

...I'm really happy it's Friday!  Just have to get to going home time. But first let's get to the confessions:

  • Bruiser has moved on to Holy Chicken.
  • Better than Holy S**t.
  • Still makes me giggle.
  • I am ridiculously excited about getting out of town this weekend with my hubby.
  • The weather has been nice here.
  • It won't last.
  • There will be more snow.
  • We have been outside enjoying the nice weather while it lasts.
  • It's almost time to get my pedicure on.
  • Sometime in May I'll be able to show off the toes again.
  • I think next week I might start running again.
  • Weather permitting of course.
  • I love my boys dearly, but it's definitely time to miss them some.
  • As in Nick and I need time away.
  • I'm getting more and more nervous about the workshop presentation I have to give a week from Monday.
  • My presentation slides are almost done.
  • I still hate presenting.
  • Now to see what fun I can have this weekned.
Are you doing anything fun this weekend?  Do you need to confess?  Link up with Aubrey and confess it all.

I Confess

After the week I've had, I'm oh so happy to see Friday.  No day is more appreciated. Now let's get teh confessing out of the way so we can enjoy the weekend.

  • We have not planned a birthday party for Bruiser
  • His birthday is Tuesday.
  • We don't know but one kid his age, so we aren't really able to plan a party.
  • We will get him presents and have the grandparents over.
  • I just hope it's enough.
  • We'll do better next year, I hope.
  • It's laundry weekend again.
  • It's been getting all whiny.
  • I hate whiny laundry.
  • I've gotten good feedback on my talk.
  • It was well received.
  • Now to keep from freaking out over the next talk I have to give.
  • How many will I have to give before I don't feel sick prior to the event?
  • More than I want to give I'm sure.
  • I am so ready for the weekend.
THe Friday Confession party has moved from Mamarazzi to Aubrey at High Heeled Love. Go check out her confessions and see what everyone else is confessing.  ANd if you feel like confessing, she'll love to have you join up.

Confession Friday

Time to confess for the weekend.  And man, am I ready for the weekend.  Here we go:
  • I survived the trip to the museum with the third graders.
  • It was pretty cool.
  • Although I will admit there are one or two of those third graders that I don't like.
  • They already have attitude.
  • Not so into a 9 year old gangster cool boy wanna be.
  • The TAB was really good when I got home.
  • Turbo had a great time though, so there's that.
  • We are trying the chocolate dipped strawberry beer tomorrow.
  • The tastes we had while bottling gave us great promise that it will be worth drinking.
  • We are setting ourselves up to be kid central this summer.
  • We are building Turbo a fort to hang out in for his birthday.
  • He doesn't know about this and is quite disappointed about the fact that he can't have a tree house.
  • Said fort will be a magnet for every boy in a five block radius.
  • I might have to stock up on snacks and drinks--both for them and for Nick and I.
  • And we still fight on on the potty front.
Have a great weekend--no matter what mother nature sends you.  And go link your confessions up with Mamarazzi.  It's a great way to start the weekend.

confess it all

I confess:
  • I'm really glad it's Friday
  • We played with play dough this week.
  • We had brown playdough.
  • Poop was made.
  • You can't not make poop out of brown play dough
  • Even Bruiser called the brown lumps of play dough poop.
  • Getting out for adult time makes such a difference.
  • I finally vacuumed last night.
  • The dust rhinos were charging the boys.
  • the dust dinosaurs were eating the dust bunnies.
  • It was carnage.
  • I defeated them all with the sucker of death.
  • Hey, vacuuming sucks (no pun intended).
  • I gotta have fun with it somehow.
  • Woo hoo, it's Friday
  • Did I say that already?
  • Yep, really happy it's Friday.
  • Going home time can't come soon enough.
  • School is out in 14 days here.
  • Turbo turns nine on the last day of school.
  • Next week is the field trip with Turbo's class.
  • He's been planning his lunch for the last week.
  • So I don't forget to pack him one.
  • Like I'm going to pack me one and not him.
  • And it's a week away.
  • I love the kids, but he's nuts sometimes.
Enjoy your Friday (best day of the week).  May going home time come quickly.  Go join up with Mamarazzi and get it all off your chest for the weekend.

Confessions for Friday

Time to confess it all.  It is Friday.  the best day of the week--although going home time on Friday is the absolute best time of the week.  We are not there yet, but it's coming.
  • I think I am going to have to go to the new Avengers Movie.
  • While I am not really a superhero type, I have boys.
  • It's required to be at least mildly conversant with the whole superhero universe.
  • Turbo is old enough to really, really want to go.
  • Matinee here we come.
  • If we can find a babysitter for Bruiser.
  • I hate liver.
  • In any form.
  • A beer is really nice after a long day at work.
  • Especially if it's been hot out.
  • We get to go to Ft. Collins after more brewing supplies tomorrow.
  • Just Nick and I.
  • Been a while since we did anything where it was just us.
  • Looking forward to it.
  • My swap package mails today.
  • I'm looking forward to my package.
  • Hope Mary likes what I'm sending her.
  • I always get nervous about this time during a swap.
Well, do you have anything that needs confessing?  Head on over and link it up with Mamarazzi.

It's Friday, Let's Confess!

It's Friday!  I'm oh so happy it's Friday!  Now to get to going home time.  One way to pass the time, Confessions with Mamarazzi.

  • We did it.
  • No, not that!
  • We got smart phones yesterday.
  • The phone does more than I do.
  • I'm a bit a lot intimidated by the darn thing.
  • But we are now full fledged members of the smart phone carrying public.
  • Now I just have to figure out how to use the silly thing.
  • I'm a bit sad.
  • My baby is growing up.
  • He's three now and getting so big.
  • Although, if I'm being honest, I don't really miss the baby stage.
  • Especially Bruiser's baby stage.
  • I still have nightmares about certain aspects of Bruiser's baby times.
  • There has been a request for me to chaperon a field trip for Turbo's class.
  • I'm going to go, if there is not a major conflict with Nick's schedule.
  • An entire day with 60+ third graders.
  • Sounds like a fabulous time.
  • Turbo really wants me to go.
  • To Denver, to the Natural History Museum.
  • It could be a good time.
  • Anyone want to go with us?
Well that about covers me for this week.  Now I can head into the weekend with a clear conscience.  If you want a clear conscience for the weekend, head over to Mamarazzi's place and link up your confessions.

I confess...

...that it is Friday and it's time to confess.  So here I go:
  • I'm jealous.
  • Nick is going to Long Beach for a conference.
  • I'm staying here.
  • With the boys.
  • Nick better bring me back something good.
  • Something shiny and sparkly would be nice.
  • I think I'm dying my hair this weekend.
  • A reddish brown again.
  • I got a haircut and it was straightened after the cut.
  • The guys always like that, even if it only lasts the evening.
  • I almost have my laundry done.
  • I was home with Bruiser yesterday.
  • I couldn't stand the whining from the laundry so I shut it up.
  • The towels are still in the dryer, but I can't hear them so they don't count.
  • The vacuum is getting loud but it just gets to wait.
  • I'm a mean mommy.
  • I don't believe Bruiser when he tells me he's starving.
  • Such a mean mom.
  • It is sort of cute to hear a three year old insist he's starving though.
Well that has it for my confessions.  Go see Mamarazzi for more confessions, just don't take McDonald's with you, you could get hurt.

Time to Confess

Friday.  After the week I had, I'm so ready for this week to be over.
I confess:
  • I hate hate hate being sick.
  • The flu stinks.
  • Happily, I'm on the mend.
  • I'm a bit sad.
  • Babysitting with Papa is not working out.
  • Bruiser is going to an in home daycare setting for Mondays and Fridays.
  • It's sad because Bruiser loves his Papa.
  • But Papa is unreliable.
  • It's so frustrating.
  • However most of it is unblogable.
  • Just when you think things are going to go smoothly, the other shoe drops.
  • And on a different note, spring is springing snow on us this weekend.
  • Crazy, wacky weather shifts are normal for this time of year.
  • But I don't have to be thrilled about them.
  • Or the migraines they give me.
And on that note, I'll leave you to enjoy your Friday the 13th.  Oh, yes, today is one if those days.  Go join Mamarazzi for more confessions.

Friday Confessions

Time to confess.  It's almost Easter and to feel go for the weekend I'm going to confess.
  • I have yet to get a dye kit for egg dying this weekend.
  • This is going to be a busy weekend.
  • Laundry, egg dying, shopping, swimming with the boys.
  • We still need to do Easter Bunny shopping.
  • With Nick out of town, nothing got done in that sector.
  • Yep, slackers, that's us.
  • I hate spiders.
  • They seem to love my bathtub.
  • That's the scene of many spidercides (it is to a word--spider murders).
  • I'm tho only one going to work today.
  • Turbo has the day off from school.
  • Nick is staying home with the boys.
  • I'm jealous.
  • Although when I do come home today I have to placate the laundry.
  • If I don't it could very well take over the house.
  • The laundry is so needy.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend.  Go join up with Mamarazzi and confess away.

Confession is Good For You

So it Friday and time to confess for the weekend.
  • It's been a long week.
  • But tonight the boys are off with grandparents.
  • Turbo with Nick's folks and Bruiser with my mom.
  • A blissful night alone.
  • I'm going out with a friend for a drink or two and then home to sleep in the bed all by myself.
  • I had to smile last week.
  • I was driving Turbo home from a swimming lesson and we went past a house with a porch full of college girls.
  • Turbo perked right up when he saw them and rubber necked a bit as we drove by.
  • He got embarrassed when he saw that I noticed.
  • I told him that looking at pretty girls was OK, just don't stare at them.
  • I have cleaning to do this weekend.
  • It's time to take the vacuum for a spin.
  • It's also time to do a through cleaning on the bathrooms.
  • They really need more than a spot cleaning.
  • My inner twelve year old still giggle like a loon when Bruiser calls Puss in Boots Pussy Boots.
Well that about covers my confessions.  Do you have any confessions?  Do tell, you'll feel better I promise.
Link up with Mamarazzi who's hosting this shindig.

I confess

Yep, it's Friday and it time to confess it all, or at least most of it.
  • I am a bit scared.
  • Nick leaves on Sunday for 10 days.
  • I will be out numbered by little boys.
  • At least I'm still bigger than they are.
  • OK, make that more than a bit scared.
  • I have laundry to do.
  • Must scale the mountain and send clean clothes with Nick.
  • I did Zumba for the first time Tuesday night.
  • I'm feeling pretty good.
  • Except for my thighs.
  • They hate me right now.
  • I will be doing the Zumba thing again.
  • It was fun.
  • As fun as exercise can be.
  • It did show me that I am not at all coordinated.
  • I really wish everyone in the house would feel better already.
  • I really hope I don't get sick.
Nothing exciting happening around here really.  Hop on over  and see Mamarazzi (who's technically not there today, Big Daddy is running the show as Mamarazzi is working on a show at the local high school.)  Check out the other confessions and confess yourself.

Friday Confessions

I have confessions for this week:
  • I had a fling with the Captain last night.
  • I was celebrating having no kids for the night.
  • Not that I really needed a reason to fling with the Captain.
  • Our spring break was fun.
  • Travel always is.
  • We got rid of the cabin fever.
  • Hotels with pools are gifts from the gods.
  • Especially with kids.
  • I'm really happy it's Friday.
  • We have a busy weekend coming up.
  • Friends in town.
  • Beer bottling.
  • Kids to the park.
  • Yep, busy, but definitely fun.
  • Pictures of our adventures on Monday.
  • I still have to download cameras and such.
  • I also still have to unpack bags.
  • Yeah, not really on top of that one.
  • At least the car is unpacked.
  • Mostly.
Do you have any confessions?  write them up and link up with Mamarazzi.

Confession? You bet!

So it's Friday.  Just about the best day of the week.  Especially at going home time.  This one is particularly nice.
Next week is Spring Break around these parts.  So I'm going to confess so I can head into the weekend with a clean conscience.
  • I am ridiculously happy to be heading out of town for a long weekend.
  • We need to get the heck out of Dodge.
  • This should be a fabulous cure for the rampant cabin fever that has been infecting all of us.
  • Bruiser is feeling better.
  • After throwing up on me Tuesday night.
  • And running a low grade fever all day Wednesday.
  • He is back to his usual, imaginative self.
  • I feel particularly proud that I got the laundry done...
  • ...While I was home with a sick Bruiser.
  • Have I mentioned how thrilled I am that we are going out of town?
  • I'v been a slacker this week.
  • I have not done my dishes at night.
  • I've let them wait until morning before doing them.
  • Still that's better than I used to be.
  • I don't let them sit all week.
  • I am not at all happy about the time change this weekend.
  • It so screws up our schedules.
  • Being on a mini vacation should help the soften the blow though.
And with that I'll send you to see Mamarazzi for more confessions.  Really, it is good for you.

Friday--Let's Confess!

Oh my goodness.  I'm sooo happy it's Friday.  Let's confess and then get on with the weekend.
  • I had maybe a bit more to drink on Wednesday's GNO than I should have.
  • It was fun while I was doing it.
  • Yesterday morning not so much.
  • I excited to send out my swap package tomorrow.
  • My face seems to think it needs to go back to high school.
  • It's acting like a teenager and breaking out like crazy.
  • The dish fairies have the worst sense of direction.
  • The stupid idiots can't find their way here.
  • Of course the house cleaning elves are no better.
  • I'm making bread this weekend.
  • With the spent grains we saved from the batch of beer Nick made a couple of weeks ago.
  • We froze it and the bread I make from it tastes really good.
  • I have cabin fever.
  • The cure is to get outside.
  • Going outside here right now is not really advisable.
  • It's cold, windy and on occasion snowy out there.
  • And we have at least another two months of very unpredictable weather.
  • "Spring" in Wyoming is a blink you miss it type of season.
  • I'm seriously jealous of all the bloggers talking about the 70-80 degree weather they are having.
  • Sigh, I have to kepp telling myself that this summer when everyone else is complaining of 100+ weather, we will be relatively cool and comfortable here.
  • It doesn't help much right now.
Now go confess with Mamarazzi and get it all off your chest for the weekend.

Confessions for Friday

And here are the confessions:

  • I am living with a self declared player.
  • Bruiser told us he was a player on Monday.
  • Then he qualified it by telling us he is a computer game player.
  • Nick and I busted up at that one.
  • I had a moment Wednesday night.
  • A sort of scary moment.
  • The microwave tried to scare me to death.
  • It sparked, zapped and flamed out.
  • The mysterious blue smoke was let out and it died.
  • I was right next to it when it happened.
  • I screamed and startled Nick.
  • I now have a shiny new microwave.
  • Maybe now I can cook popcorn without burning half the bag and leaving the other half unpopped.
  • I'm tired.
  • Sleep isn't all it's cracked up to be recently.
  • I really wish it would start playing nice.
  • I'm so happy it's Friday.
  • This has been the longest short week I've ever had.
  • But now it Friday and I just have to get to going home time at work.
And that is what I'm confessing this week.  Go see Mamarazzi for more confessions.  You'll be glad you did.
