A Little Bit Random

Or maybe a lot random.  It's Tuesday and the best thing about Tuesday is that you can be all random and still call it a post.  Stacy at Stacy Uncorked has kept the random party going in the face of a continuing haitus by Keely.  So random it up people!

  • Last night I was wearing a tanktop with a large smiley face on it.  It's name is apparently Frank.  Bruiser informed me of that fact shortly after I put it on.
  • I have about hit rock bottom on the motivation scale.  Maybe it's the summer blahs, maybe it's the heat, but I really just don't feel like doing anything.  It all seems to take so much effort.
  • In other news, August is totally booked solid.  We have friends in town this week, Nick and my anniversary is next Monday, Nick has a guy trip--Man Camp--there is school shopping to do, we are going camping for my birthday, school starts and then Nick's brother is in town.  See, booked solid until Labor Day, then hunting season starts.
  • I think I want to get off the merry-go-round now, please stop the ride.  What do you mean the ride doesn't stop?!
  • I found this site--Dear Blank, Please Blank--go see, it's sort of addicting.
  • Bruiser will imitate just about anything we say--especially Turbo.  Bruiser has picked up saying "Oh my God!"  when he is excited or surprised.  We think he got it from Turbo, Papa, possibly Grandma, maybe has heard it a time or two from us, really we don't know where or why he clued in on that phrase.  We are only hoping that he moves on to another one soon.
  • Turbo has started saying "Oh snap" to just about everything.  We wish it would stop, I'm raising a boy, not a teen aged girl from five years ago.  He will find something else to say soon(please, please, please).  These things come and go, but this one just grates.
  • I think next summer we need to take like a weeks vacation.  Get the heck out of Dodge and just go someplace else for rest and recharge.  This summer has been the summer of the long weekend and it's just not the same.
Well that covers my random for this week.  Go see Stacy and random it up K?

  1. I feel your pain about the lack of motivation thing. I've got it too. The kids will figure out new and possibly more annoying things to say as the years go by. Just thought I'd warn you.

  3. The heat can surely deter motivation. I like keeping to my routine whatever it is the best I can to wort of the blah-blahs.

Well, I think your kiddo saying "Oh snap!" is cute. It could be worse...definitely worse. But, you're right in time, a new phrase will catch your wee one's attention.

Hope you're feeling more motivational soon. Keep rebelling my friend!

  4. Giggling at "oh snap". Julie said that for years. Now she says H-E-Double Hockey Sticks. I'm just waiting for her to blurt out Oh Shit.

It's coming. I can feel it in my bones. LOL

    Have a great Tuesday!!

  5. I couldn't agree more. I really need a vacation with John and Sprite, just get away from everything. She's been begging to go to Disney. We may just make a quickie weekend out of it and give her some fun. :-) Now to convince John...

  10. Maybe we are all just exhausted. We all need a little R & R somewhere where there is a pool boy and a maid to do all the work. Camping is NOT it! I remember a couple of years ago when my boys said, "oh snap" all the time. I guess it's better than a lot of other words!

  11. So fun that Bruiser named Frank! Gotta love a kid with an imagination :)

Wow August is booked, my August is pretty full too. You gotta get it all in before school starts huh.

Oh my God is better then my littles ones Oh Shit as of recent LOL.

Oh Snap... that made me laugh out loud. That is sooo funny, I am totally picturing him say that right now.

  12. Motivation? What's that? I can't even get myself to blog much lately. I am blaming the 106 degree heat- it saps my brain and every ounce of energy I may have.

LMAO on the Oh Snap... I think I'd be Oh Snapping someones head off.

Ian's recent is my biscuits are burning my biscuits are burning- no clue what that is from- at least you know to blame Raven from the Disney channel for Oh, Snap. ;)
