- We are starting to potty train. It's slow going. Bruiser really has no interest in the whole process. He would be content to wear diapers forever. I, however, would like to way less involved in his bathroom habits. Wish us luck.
- Rube Goldberg machines are fun, but frustrating to create. How do I know? Because the guys spent all day yesterday working on one. The individual elements will work but trying to put it all together complicates things. When or if they get it to work, I will post a video.
- I love my new Kindle. Santa was very good and worked hard to surprise me.
- Turbo has let us know that he knows who Santa is, but he was very quiet about it, and I told him as long as he believes in Santa, Santa will continue to bring him presents. We want to keep the magic alive for Bruiser as long as we can.
- I'm sort of ready to go back to real life. The break was wonderful. Real life is somewhat more dull. But I think the routine will do me good.
- Nick is trying to work on his diet. He has given up meat for a week. So we are eating meatless meals for the next week. Well dinners are meatless, lunches for the rest of us aren't.
That sort of covers my random for this week. Joining up with Stacy for Random Tuesday Thoughts.
Ugh, potty training. Isaac is starting to become interested; he'll actually tel me when he thinks he's going to go and seems like he wants to sit on the potty chair but I guess I have to bite the bullet and start working on it. It's just so stressful!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the potty-training - ugh! I keep thinking I'd like another baby - but then someone talks to me about potty training, and I rethink!
ReplyDeleteI could use some good meatless recipes - we really need to cut back, I just don't seem to know how to cook without meat!
I keep saying I don't want a Kindle, that I love books and how they smell too much...but I'm starting to get the itch to get one...
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about routine. I didn't want to come back to work today, but I knew it would definitely help me to get back in a routine!
Good luck on the potty training - Princess Nagger was a bear to train, we kept joking that she'd be wearing diapers under her graduation robe... ;) Once she got interested in the whole potty training routine, she was a star. Bruiser will be the same I bet! :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Kindle world! I love the Kindle hubby got me for Christmas last year - he loved it so much, he asked for one this year. :) We are now a complete Kindle Family, since Princess Nagger's Santa gift was a Kindle Fire...now I want one of those, but it's not practical for me. ;)
Routines are great, aren't they? Once I get the chaos cleared from being away from home for 11 days, I'll be thankful to get back into a normal (and hopefully blissfully boring) routine. :)
Happy New Year, Vandy! :)
good luck with potty training. we got lucky - i think. I think going meatless would be so hard.
ReplyDeleteI need to start thinking about potty training Aliya. I don't think she is ready yet though. I hate that time frame where you just aren't sure.
ReplyDeleteI need to work on my diet. I need to eat more often instead of one big meal & lots of not good for me snacks.
We are on day 4 of potty training and we have had zero accidents today. However, day one we changed panties 20 times. It was CRAZY frustrating. But during naps and nighttime, she's in a pull up or a diaper. She never wakes up dry so as soon as she does, I guess I'll put her in panties at night. GOOD LUCK with Bruiser.
ReplyDeleteMy diet is just the opposite of your hubby's. I'm eating LOTS of meat.
Thanks for linking up with us!! =)
wow potty training good luck sweetie i do not envy you at all. as for Santa he was good to me to i got a Nook seems Santa really liked us.
ReplyDeleteOMG I love my Kindle, and my Ipad, and all those other electronic dohickies that we managed to get in the last year. I am spoiled. I did enjoy the holiday, but am loving the low keyed back to life's routine.

ReplyDeleteAww I think it's sweet that he didn't ruin the Santa illusion for his baby brother. My brother ruined it for me and I was heartbroken! Kindles look so nice. I like reading on my iPad but I would prefer the non computer screen glow.
ReplyDeleteBot do you have your hands full with potty training, a non meat eating man and Christmas cleanup all in the same week. Good luck with that!
