Stumbling, Carnivals, and Wonderful Weekends

So it was a fabulous weekend.
We got a new back porch.  Nick built the whole thing--it is so awesome to have a husband who can build stuff!
It's three times the size of what we had and we have a hand rail on the stairs and a wonderful privacy wall.  We can sit on the back porch and enjoy the morning cool (it faces west).  It's just awesome!
Looking up into the new porch.

Looking directly at the outside of the new porch.

Another view of the outside of the porch.

The bottom of the steps--new pavers.

The lovely new steps with railing.

And in other news, Jubilee Days came to town with street dances and the carnival.  Saturday night we took the boys downtown and let Turbo experience carnival rides.  He had so much fun he threw up.  On the last ride.  It was the giant swings.  Of course that was about the eighth ride he had been on.  Poor kid, he did have fun though.  But he swears that he will not ride the spinny rides again.  I say wait until the next carnival or amusement park and then secretly laugh when we can't keep him off them.
Nick won a frog for Bruiser.  He is totally about his Ribbit.  It's cute.
We also watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Chronicles of Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The A-Team.  All pretty good movies.  We enjoyed each of them.
In sadder news, our cat Piper has an abscess on her ear.  We are watching it but she may get a trip to the vet if it doesn't get better. (Or Nick will unleash his mad doctor skillz.  Or not.)
Now it's back to a mostly normal week.  Hope everyone's weekend was fun and family filled.  I know ours was.
