Dear Someone

Dear Turbo,
I'm so glad you are enjoying second grade.  Let's keep up the good work.  It's so much more fun to send you to school when you like it.
Love you,
Mom.

Dear Mom Nature,
Could you send a bit of colder weather our way,the hunters would really like it.
Let's see if you can work on that one for us, mm-kay?
Empty Freezer

Dear Deer and Elk,

Please present yourselves to my husband so he can get a good shot. We need the meat in the freezer. So a little cooperation would be appreciated.
Hungry Mom

Dear "FBI" guy on the phone,
No, I'm not falling for your story that I won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes and the employees of said company stole my winnings.  And are trying to fraud me out of the money.  When your number comes up from Quebec, that sort of sends up a red flag.  Don't try to tell me it is scrambled through there to prevent FBI killers from targeting you.  Do you think I was born yesterday?  So not falling for that one.  It was almost as good as the call a few weeks ago when I was told my debit card had been compromised and I needed to tell you my account number so the charges could be "verified".  Yeah, sure.  Not giving that info out over the phone.
Not that Gullible.

And how was your week?

  3. What's sad is that people do fall for those scams. I haven't figured out why anyone would believe it, but they do.

I'll cross fingers that weather, elk and deer will all cooperate.

  5. Next time someone like that calls you, yell out, "It's a trap! Our cover's blown!" and hang up. :-)

  6. Isn't it nice when the kids find a grade and teacher that they like? Makes life so much better.

  8. I'll see if I can talk to Mother Nature and have her send some of our cool weather your way.

I can't believe people actually think we'll fall for those scams. I guess some people do though, or they wouldn't be in business.

My week was pretty good, thanks. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  9. Love your letters!

PS Your husband can come shoot the elk and deer out of my yard so they don't eat my precious garden and haystack. LOL
