Tuesday Randoms

So it's Tuesday.  Time for randoms and Talking to Us Tuesday.  So here are my Randoms:
  • Oh man, little boys can be noisy.  They sort of feed on each other and get louder and louder.  I think we all need to get out of the house.  Thank goodness Spring Break is next week.
  • We are going some where.  Nick is thinking the Black Hills and visiting some of the caves there like Jewel Cave and maybe Wind Cave.  I think we might have a good time there.  Hey, at this point anything out of town would be good.
  • I'm not thrilled about the time change that's coming up.  I actually hate the time change.  We spend less time on "normal" time than we do on "Daylight Savings" time.  And what about it is saving?  I really wish they would just leave the stinking time alone.
  • Trying to keep little boys separate when one is sick is next to impossible.  Next time I'm putting one in the basement and the other up stairs.  It's the only way to keep the healthy one well and keep the sick one from sharing his germs.
  • Love going to the doctor, paying out the nose and finding out that the kid doesn't have what you thought he did.  Lovely.  Oh, I'm glad Turbo doesn't have strep throat, but not thrilled about the cost of discovering that little tidbit.
I think I'll close now.  A Migraine is creeping up on me and I've got a full day of work to manage.  Hope everyone's Tuesday is as good as can be expected.  It is after all Tuesday.

  1. Little Dude is annoyingly loud...All. The. Time. I couldn't imagine doubling that noise - I'm surprised you're hanging onto your sanity. ;)

Ooooh! Can I come to the Black Hills with you? It's been years since I've been, it's such a cool place to visit!

I'm right there with you on the whole time change thing - especially since they changed it to make the Daylight Saving Time longer than it was...not fair. I hate losing that hour. Messes up the internal clock (and does an even bigger number on the kidlets internal clock).

Hate going to the doctor and paying through the nose for no good reason. Hope everyone feels better soon!

  2. I just saw that Daylight Savings Time is coming up. CRAP!!

I spent a small fortune on copays in the last couple weeks. I could have bought a lot of shoes with that money.

  3. Ugh, I hate co-pays, and if I have to waste one, I for sure want a real diagnosis!

  4. I hope you have a great trip next week...I'm itching to go somewhere...anywhere!

Hope your family is all feeling well again soon :)

  5. Makes me remember the times I would take Sprite to the doctor all the time anything was awry, since the co-pay was a flat fee. Now, unless a limb comes off, I think twice before dialing the pediatrician.

  6. We're doing a road trip for spring break, 2 stops are planned one will be spontaneous. Wish us luck I don;t want to have to sleep in the car at a rest area!

Paying a co-pay for nothing makes me mad too. I don;t want my kids to have anything but yet I want them to have something. You know what I mean?

Feel better, happy travels and thanks for linking up!

  8. I love that the days will be getting long as the season changes. I wish they didn't have Daylight Savings Time. It's crazy to make your body have to adjust twice a year unnaturally, you know? I mean, the days will shorten and lengthen as the earth travels it's orbit. That being said, we adjust naturally.

I've been there, done that with the whole doctor thing. It's a painful in the ole wallet to discover nothing is wrong. It's actually better to stay away from the doctor's office because that's where you or the kiddos are more than likely to get sick.

    Thanks for visiting!

  9. Thank you. Someone else who is not thrilled with the time change. Why does it have to happen so early this year?

    Have a great Tuesday!

  10. You know, I'm not a big time change fan either. I really don't understand the whole thing. There used to be a couple of states that didn't ever change their time. I wonder if they still don't.

I'm sorry Turbo isn't feeling well. I had a migraine yesterday. Those are NO FUN! I hope your day gets better!!

  11. Girls are just as noisy I promise. The high pitched squeel is enough to make you want to jab your eye out. Uggghhh!

I'm planning a road trip to Utah this Summer. My girls did great last Summer, I hope they do as well this year!

Time Change is stupid! Seriously I completely agree, just leave it alone already!

Hope your Migraine goes away... or rather doesn't progress.

  12. I hope your migraine went away!

I also hate time change! So not looking forward to it!

Keeping sick kids separate from healthy kids is seriously a trial. I don't know that I've ever been successful at it!

  13. I could imagine how noisy they can be, maybe it'll be pretty where you are,and you can just let them run wild outside :)
I'm not a big fan of the time change either, although I do like when it falls back and we get what feels like an extra hour :)
    Hope your migraine went away.
