Random Musings

So Tuesday has hit.  Since it always follows Monday, I shouldn't be surprised.  Somehow it always sneaks up on me though.  but enough about that.  Let's get all random here.
  • After a fabulous time visiting with our friends,  I have to say, I wish they were just a bit less generous.  The kids shared their germs and Bruiser has a nasty cough and runny nose.  Low fever and he doesn't sleep well.  And not being able to give him anything over the counter really makes it tough on Mom.
  • Kidney stones suck.
  • Why are household chores so never ending?  Just get one done and turn around to do it again, dishes, laundry, vacuuming, cleaning.  It just keeps going.
  • I'm looking forward to getting a pedicure.  It won't happen until May, but it going to be great.
  • Nick heads out for training and work meetings in Texas next week.  One week in Austin, then off to Dallas.  He is excited about the training, but not about the being gone for so long.  I may be a basket case when he gets back.  10 days with the boys.  Yeah, basket case is definitely a possibility.
  • What is it about deep fried food that tastes so good?  Even bacon tastes good deep fried.
  • I think that spring is here.  We will get more snow, but for now it's nice--for us.
  • I got to dance with Bruiser last night to the Muppet Show music.  Even if he doesn't feel good, he still wanted to dance with his mom.
  • Gah, kids TV is sort of really inane.  As much as I love my kids, I couldn't do kids TV every day.  Of course Turbo like different TV than Bruiser does.  I don't like his preferred TV either.
So there you have it.  I will be around sporadically today.  Bruiser is all kinds of wanting to snuggle.  Mom will be snuggling and making chicken noodle soup today.
Go see Stacy for more random.   The rebellion is still on, but I think it more like a succession now.  Stacy has pretty much become our new fearless leader.  Keely may want it back, but it's not looking positive.
Also go link up with the no rules girls Shawn and Impulsive.  They have Talking To Us Tuesday.  No rules so you can link any old post up.

Seriously Shawn

  1. Love your random thoughts! Sounds a little like in my head!! Have a great day.

  2. I hope both you and Bruiser feel better soon.

Too bad one of Nick's stops isn't Houston. We'd take him out on the town.

  3. Kidney stones not fun, I've heard. I've been blessed to not have to suffer through this. My mom had a problem with this a few years back. I hope yours are soon a thing of the past.

The weather is absolutely beautiful. I hope for your sake the snow is gone for the year, but if you're far enough north then you know anything is possible. I remember growing up in southern WV, we saw a few Easters where there was snow on the ground. Here not so much of that.

    Thanks for visiting!

  4. That was nice of your friends to share their germs! YUCK!

Who has kidney stones?? It sounds painful!

Pedicare. YES PLEASE! My toes are sick of me trying to manicure them myself.

I hope you don't go insane for 10 days. I would for sure but I'm a wuss.

Thanks for linking up Miss Vandy! xoxo

  5. I need a pedi as well. i got a gift card for xmas from my boss but the place she got it for is a little sketchy. I mean, they always seem to be in transition in their store. Like, organizing and re-doing. Which is fine but it's been like that for a while. Ugh. Happy Tuesday!

  6. aww I'm sorry about the kidney stones. I hear they're so painful.

I'm looking forward to a pedicure before a wedding I'm in this June. I rarely get them so it'll be a treat!

  7. YUCK. Colds and Kidney stones.

    I want to get a pedicure....now!

  8. I would hate to have a kidney stone.

    Have a great Tuesday!

  9. Ugh - generous germy friends are not my favorite. Hope you have some nice snuggle time with Bruiser and everyone's feeling better soon.

Kidney stones are definitely not fun - my dad has them on a regular basis, and my sister got them about 6 months ago. I'm hoping I never have to experience them ever.

Household chores really are never ending, aren't they? I've been slacking lately, so now I have a mountain of stuff to take care of. Maybe tomorrow. Or Thursday. I can procrastinate like nobody's business! ;)

Groundhog Hypothesis, Menopausal Mother Nature, Truancy and the Phone Princess

  10. Ugh, this warm weather has caught me off guard and my toes are not sandal ready. A pedicure sounds wonderful!

  11. Germs. Yuck. Hope Bruiser is feeling better soon.

James bond left on Sunday for 3 weeks. It's no wonder I drink. He's leaving later this year for nearly a year in "the sandbox." I may be an alcoholic before he gets back.
Kids TV. Ugh. I have to say though, I do like Phineas and Ferb. It makes me laugh. Okay, okay, I also kind of like Pair of Kings. I have no idea why. It's so stupid it makes my brain hurt, but still I like it. Clearly I should drink more.

  12. Tell me about it with Housework! It is a never ending task. I could seriously clean up all day and do laundry and dishes if I let myself it's never ending! Wish I could hire a maid already!

  13. Kidney stones And germs? Rough break!

Household chores suck. That's why I choose to ignore them as much as possible

  14. I agree, some people need to be less generous. Sorry your little guy is sick.

Kidney stones, I've never had them but ave heard giving birth is less painful.

I think you need to reschedule your pedicure and add a massage for the day after your hubby returns...you're gonna need it!

Thanks for linking up with us, we love your randomness!

  15. deep fried bacon.... not gonna lie, I might be interested in that one!

I love to get comments! They make my heart go pitter-pat! Go on comment--I'll do my best to go give your blog some love too!
