This week the Monday Minute is brought to you by Kmama at The Daily Dribbles. It usually comes from Ian at the Daily Dose of Reality.
And here goes:
- What's the specs of the first computer you ever owned? It was a PC with a 256 processor with 8 MB of RAM. Looking back it was such a dinosaur--it didn't have windows because windows didn't exist yet. My hubby (then boyfriend) and I bought it in 1994. It was top of the line then.
- Are you on Twitter/Facebook/etc? If so link it/them up. I'm on Facebook but it's not linked to my blog. I'm gonna keep it kind of separate. If you can find me there, good for you.
- Who's more to blame for the oil mess in the gulf-BP or the Gov't and why? I think there is enough blame to go around. I also think no one really wants to own up to the blame. It's tragic what is happening in the Gulf and focusing on getting it cleaned up and the leak stopped is more important than pointing fingers.
- What's your favorite Dr. Suess book? I like so many of them--but my favorite from when I was a kid would have to be "There's a Wocket in My Pocket".
- What did you want to be when you grew up? It changed all the time. A doctor, then I realized how much school they had to take and I was not dedicated enough. A Writer, but you had to have ideas to write about and while I love reading, original ideas do not flow for me--fiction wise. In high school I had no idea what I would do beyond go to college, in College I liked history and majored in it but did not want to teach. So, after college I floated through retail, commission sales and dabbled in insurance before getting a job as a chiropractic assistant. After I had my first little boy I went back to school for geology and am now working in that field. So now what I want to be when I grow up is a geologist. Not what I first thought but I like it.
Thanks for linking up!!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed that you had an answer for #1!! I thought Ian would be the only one who knew. LOL
My favorite Suess was "If I Ran the Circus". Surprisingly, I'm not a big Suess fan. I may be a fan of rhyming, but the nonsensical kind seems like cheating to me.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you eventually grew up to be what you wanted to be, a Geologist. It just looks like you took a round-about way of getting there!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
I absolutely agree on the oil spill...whos responsible isnt nearly as important as getting the mess cleaned up!
ReplyDeletewow - geologist! Cool! I always wanted to have a title that sounded cool (and simple) when peopel asked for my job. I have friends whose business cards say things like "chemist" or "scientist." Now that is awesome.
