- Have you seen one of these:
- It keeps showing up on my Facebook ads. I guess it's called a Beardo. It looks really creepy to me.
- We had a major success on the potty front. Bruiser pooped in the potty at the babysitters. This is major because anything he has done at home is harder for him to do at the sitter's. This is one step closer to my being far less involved in his bathroom habits. Go Bruiser!
- We are having Thanksgiving with Nick's folks. We are still doing our own turkey on the grill--it ends up mostly smoked sort of grilled. And totally delicious. We will get enough side left overs from them that we won't need to make our own. Win on both sides.
- We have had wind the last few days. Like steady 20-25 mph with gusts to 45 mph. It's drying out everything. I'm not a fan of the wind.
- I'm already over the Christmas ads. I guess we traded political ads for Christmas ads. I'll admit some are cute, but most are repetitive. I'm pretty much tired of them already. They are better than the evil political ads but I still don't have to like them. They also give my boys the gimmees.
- We are going to have to think long and hard over what to get the boys this year. Turbo is earning money toward the Lego Millennium Falcon he wants so we don't have to get that for him. I hesitate to get him just video games. Much thinking will have to happen for Turbo. As for Bruiser well I'm coming up empty for gifts for him. He doesn't need another race track, he has so many toys that were handed down from Turbo and he plays with different things than Turbo ever did. I do think Ninjago is something he will want and Santa will have to be creative this year.
- This morning I was getting Bruiser ready to get dressed and I grabbed his camo sweatpants. He looked at me like I was nuts when I told him he was going to be wearing sweatpants and said that he didn't want to wear them because they would make him sweat. I had to explain that they really wouldn't unless he was overly active.
And go see Shawn and Impulsive for Talk To Us Tuesday.
I agree that the beardo is creepy!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Bruiser!! Onwards & upwards!!
And I'm so jealous that you guys are gearing up for Thanksgiving... ours feels like it was so long ago. I seriously want to get a petition going that we all get 2 Thanksgivings! ;)
Happy Tuesday!
Yeah we can't decide what to get Isaac. There are already so many toys and the ones Ell doesn't use anymore can go right to Isey. But then we aren't actually buying him anything. Kind of torn!
ReplyDeleteWow. A beardo. I kinda wanna get one, cause it's so weird.
ReplyDeleteanyways, i guess not having tv has it's perks..no commercials!
Those stupid Bearos are all over facebook! Maybe we should buy ads...on what I have no clue.
ReplyDeletewell little man has asked for GC guess that's a sign he is heading into teen years. way to Bruiser I'm so proud of him.
ReplyDeleteI"m having a hard time with Christmas this year, I feel like my kids have everything! My oldest also gets an allowance lately and buys his own toys with it so our options are getting limited by the buy!
ReplyDeleteThat beardo is so creepy! I've only seen it on ThinkGeek.com. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for success on the potty front!
The wind has been driving me crazy lately, too.
Princess Nagger has yet to give us a list to work from for Christmas - she's thrown out a few random ideas but still hasn't revealed what she wants from Santa - hopefully she'll do that soon. Little Dude is easy - anything cars and trains and he'll be a happy camper. :)
AHAHAHA! That sweat pant scenario totally cracked me up - Princess Nagger had that same thought process when I was going to have her wear a sweat shirt one day - she didn't want to wear it because she didn't want to sweat. :)
Still Drying Out, Birthday Schemes and Dragon Eye Cake, Dino Moves: RTT Rebel
Yay go Bruiser! O and he is so funny with his comment about the sweats :)
ReplyDeleteHooray, Bruiser!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that Beardo thing is creepy. All I get in my facebook ads are diet 'tricks'.
The wind gets on your nerves after awhile, doesn't it?
That beardo belongs in a horror movie, it may give me nightmares tonight! I've never seen it before, maybe because I use my phone for FB more than the computer, lucky me!
ReplyDeleteYAY for pooping on the potty!
I'm clueless for Christmas and I only have 39 days to get my act together...
Thanks for linking up with us!
I know the beardo was popular in Oklahoma for awhile. You know "Fear the Beard" "Thunder Up." Still kinda creepy to me!
