Random Thoughts Tuesday

Tuesday, I am oh so glad it's not Monday anymore.  Monday was busy and run aroundy and just not so much fun.  Tuesday promises to be much nicer.  On to the random portion of the program:
  • It is hard to explain to a three year old just why he can't take his hot feet off like he does his shoes and socks.  It was hot yesterday and Bruiser really wanted to take his feet off.  I was reminded of the old Shel Silverstein poem about it being hot enough to take off your skin and then it's still hot.
  • Tonight I get to sit and entertain a three year old while the eight year old has swimming lessons.  Too bad we can't swim too.
  • I'm still getting used to my red red hair.  It turned out way redder that I expected.  It'll wash out eventually but it's really red right now.
  • Today is supposed to be hot--for us for this time of year.  I have a tulip blooming and lots of my dwarf irises are blooming.  It's early, but it has been unusually warm here.  It is supposed to rain this weekend though.
  • Too bad that with the nice weather comes my spring allergies.  Zyrtek has become my daily companion.
  • I have created monsters.  The boys love strawberries and cream.  They want it all the time.  Monsters.  At least it's sort of healthy.
  • I don't like the new Gieco commercials.  The ones about the taste test.  A car insurance taste test?  Those just doesn't make a bit of sense to me.  I don't hate them like I do the Allstate mayhem ones but I don't understand where they are going with it.
And that about does it for me and my random for this week.  Go visit Stacy for more random thoughts.

And go visit Shawn and Impulsive for Talk To Us Tuesday.  They have no rules so you can link up anything.

  1. I can empathize with your 3yo - I'm not a lover of heat since you can only take so many clothes off... ;)

I'm diggin' your red red hair! I think it looks good on you! :)

I don't like the new Geico commercials, either... :)

  2. It was actually cold here today - 42 - which is so weird. And random. And no, those Geico commercials are dumb.

  4. I'll take heat over cold! I just don't like when the temp goes above 100. =)

I scrolled down to see your new red hair! I love it! It looks really good on you. I also think your hair looks good straight!

Thanks for linking up with us! xoxo

  5. My husband complains that you can only take off so many clothes when it is hot but you can put on as many as you need when you are cold. I like hot weather so it doesn't bother me.

  6. I had red hair for years, looking back I wish someone had loved me enough to tell me to find the bleach bottle, I'm a better blonde!

I love the mayhem commercials! I haven't seen the new Geico ones yet but states test does sound a little off.

    Hows potty training going?

Thanks for linking up with us oh and maybe try putting his hot feet in the other end of the pool during lessons...

  7. Red always tones down after a few washes, give it a few days and it will be right where you want it!

And totally agree on the Geico thing, the concept doesn't even make sense.

  8. I like the red!

We were in the States last week and I saw those Geico ads. They don't make sense and if they can't come up with a decent ad campaign, I'm not sure I want their insurance. Not that we have them, but still.

I dislike heat. When we landed in the States it felt like it was 7 million degrees. Blech. And then what do we do? We take Indy to Disney World in freaking Florida where the temp rose to approximately 8 million degrees. When we got back to Frankfurt this past Sunday it was 40 degrees. Our bodies are still in shock.

  13. He wanted to take his hot feet off. Oh I could just hug him. What an adorable thing to say!! I've been there. All last week it was hot as hell in our house, and I had to sleep in my sports bra (so my milk wouldn't come in, ughhh) and I just wanted to take my chest off. Ha! If only huh?
