Hodgy Podgy

Qs:
1. Have you ever had to wear a uniform? If yes, tell us more. Did you love it or hate it? I did when I worked at the Albertson's Deli/bakery combo shortly after I graduated from college.  It wasn't a really bad job, but it wasn't a truly great job either.  Working grocery when all your friends have jobs that let them have weekends off is tough.

2. April 22nd is Earth Day. What is one thing you do personally to be a good steward of planet Earth? We participate in our town's recycling program and we use electricity friendly light bulbs. We try to conserve water and ride our bikes to work most of the summer--weather permitting.
3. Brown rice, quinoa, or couscous...your healthy grain of choice? How often are one of the three on your menu at home?  Given a choice between white rice, brown rice, wild rice, and fried rice which would you go for?
I like brown rice and the crew will eat quinoa on occasion. Brown rice shows up on the menu frequently.
Given a choice of the different kinds of rice, I do like wild rice and brown rice is great with a  splash of soy sauce.
4. In your opinion, who has the best job ever? Travel authors.  They get to travel and write about it.  That looks quite fun.
5. What's a situation in your life currently requiring patience?  We have had some stuff come up at work.  Getting through it requires patience and not rushing into a decision before we have all the facts.
6.  Do you live your life around days of the week? Explain. We are on a work week schedule.  That won't likely change until retirement time. I love when Friday rolls around and it comes time for going home time...
7. In a nod to the A to Z challenge happening around town this month, what 'R word' best describes your April? Rollercoaster.  this month has been up and down and twisting and turning.  We are trying our best to hang on and endure the ride, maybe enjoy it if we can.
8. Insert your own random thought here. After last week's snow (which is practically gone now) I'm ready for more spring like weather.  And It looks like Mother Nature will deliver.  We have rain on the forecast for the rest of the week.  Lovely.

  2. I saw where places not too far north of us woke up to snow today. I think I'd cry : ) We woke up to temps in the 30's, but thankfully no white stuff! Life with kids in the house is a bit of a rollercoaster...enjoy the ride!
