This week's prompts:
1.) ….and then I realized it was all a dream.
(inspired by Denise from Musings of Mommyland)
2.) 3. The biggest Halloween trick (or prank) you ever pulled.
(inspired by June Freaking Cleaver from The Ratio of Failures)
3.) Why I’m not inviting my mother to read my blog…
(inspired by Just Mom from All The Other Kids Are Doing It)
4.) Share a photo that represents how you see yourself.
5.) A memorable babysitting job.
This is me. Not all chic and put together, but casual, a bit messy, relaxed and mommy. I've done the get all fancied up but have found that jeans and t-shirts are much more me.
I'm really glad that my job is casual and jeans and T-shirts are OK.
I have yet to get the "Mom could you look nicer" from my sons. Turbo will compliment me when I do dress up, but does not seem concerned yet with how I look around other people--I know it's coming, but I'm hoping not for a couple of more years. The casual me is much more comfortable.
I have made sure my clothes fit, and I limit the sweats to the house. I've learned that much from watching What Not to Wear.
Now go link at Mama Kat's for other Writer's Workshop posts.
My job is bus casual, so I have to put a LITTLE effort into what I wear, but I still feel like Stacy and Clinton are watching out for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your look.
ReplyDeleteIt's always hot here, so my favorite is shorts and tank tops with no shoes or rubber slippers (flip flops).
I am with you! I never wear anything but jeans and tshirts!
ReplyDeleteI like to dress up sometimes, but my favorite look is the most comfortable - jeans and a t-shirt - luckily my husband has always said that jeans and a tanktop and skater shoes is his favorite outfit to see me in.
ReplyDeleteAh you look so comfy and ready for a good relaxing time!
ReplyDeleteComfort is good. There was a time in my life when I needed to "look professional" at work. But I always thought I did my best thinking in jeans and a t-shirt. Now I'm retired, and that's my uniform! With comfy shoes - no more of this vanity-it-looks-good shoe thing (read that any shoe that requires stockings or squeezing of the toes).
ReplyDeleteI'm all for comfort, too. I will dress up when needed, but prefer my jeans!
ReplyDeleteI always dress for comfort. It works for me, although I try not to break any cardinal fashion rules, I'm pretty sure the "What Not to Wear" crew would have a thing or two to say about my wardrobe. I'm also smart enough to stay out of public sweats and I don't own a single piece that has words spelled out across the butt. ;) Your natural casual self is lovely.
