Post Superbowl Monday

OK, Ill admit it, I could have used more sleep this morning.  We had fun watching the Superbowl yesterday.  We had great snacks and company so it was a nice day.  Much nicer than the day before.

I spent most of Saturday going through all my mother's books and getting them moved out of her house.  Today Nick talks to the realtor about what we need to do to get it listed for sale.  Each step is just another affirmation that she is gone and it's tough. Saturday evening was so not easy. Some of those books she had and moved for the last 50 years. Books was one thing we always had in common.

Anyway, on to brighter stuff, Valentine's Day is coming.  I think ours will be done at home with the fam.  I am hoping that Nick will get me some chocolate--turtles and some truffles (hint, hint, Honey)--and then just watch a movie at home with him. Just keeping Valentine's day real...

  3. Vandy, We had a good time watching the Super Bowl, too. And, oh are we happy campers that The Broncos won! I'm sorry for what you're having to deal with your mother's things. I can't imagine how difficult it is to go through her stuff like that, but that's a road many of us will trod. I pray every day is a little better than the day before and that you feel God's comfort. I'm thinking about making truffles this week for Valentine's Day. I haven't done this in a long time and thought it was about time to give it another try. Of course, I did buy some chocolates already, so we will have plenty. Great song picks today! Have a tunetastic week!

  4. We haven't started going through everything in my parents' house...we don't want to offend Daddy, but it's going to be a huge headache when my daddy passes away. I feel for you.

  5. I too am sorry you are having to go through the process of going through things. It is not enjoyable at all.

Thanks for posting the music this week in all of it. I love Bruno Mars and that song.

    Wishing you peace of heart.
