Time to get a bit random before Thanksgiving.

We had a fabulous sunrise this morning. I love living somewhere we can see these lovely colors:

I got a batch of rolls made last night, along with a batch of sugar cookies and dinner. Go me! The rolls are for Thanksgiving, the cookies were for Turbo--he made a cookie cutter in shop class and got extra credit of he took a cookie cut with said cookie cutter to he teacher. I think it was a way for the teacher to get free cookies.

Ha - yes, I think that teacher was definitely trying to avoid doing their own baking for the holiday! LOL
I made some shortbread cookies and squares the other day to put in the freezer for the Christmas holidays. I like having a few things on hand that I can grab for when visitors come a-calling. Plus, the house always smells amazing after.

Hubby: Nick is my loving husband, a wonderful dad and fulltime Geologist. He does his part to contain the crazies at our house so they don't escape too often.
Turbo: he's 15 and learning to drive. He doesn't stop moving for much but legos and video games. He loves his little brother, while finding him annoying like any older brother would. He is a master at finding the one thing that will drive Mom and Dad up the wall. We love him anyway.
Bruiser: the new tween at 10, nothing gets in his way. He powers through anything and everything. He wants to keep up with his idol Turbo in the worst way. Give the kid some markers and some paper or a nerf gun and all is right in his world.
Thullee: The dog. Energy and enthusiasm and complete devotion to his family. Nothing is like being greeted by a shivering, excited, whining toy offering dog, even if the absence was just a trip to the garage.
Freya: The cat with attitude. A very curious siamese cat. She keeps us all entertained, loves her puppy dog Thullee and my hair bands for toys.
