Spring is slow to come to these parts, but it is coming, even if we have snow threatened for Mother's day again. Here, we have the unique ability to be 65 degrees in the morning with lovely blue skies and by 1:00pm have things change dramatically to 4 inches of snow on the ground and you can't see across the street.
Spring is a time of growth and flux here. The weather changes at the drop of a hat and the plants have to be hearty and tough to make it.
I like watching things grow. Flowers, my kids, our trees.
Watching my kiddos grow has got to be the best thing in the world. Seeing flowers I planted and cared for grow is great too, even if I'm not the biggest fan of gardening.
I missed out on the green thumb that runs in my family as well... gardening just isn't my thing. I have to say, watching children grow is definitely a wonderful thing!
ReplyDeleteWatching children grow is surelu a wonderful thing to do! Great post.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting past the snow and frost threat here in Chicago, although on the other side of Lake Michigan it's not unheard of to get lake effect snow in May!
ReplyDeleteBeing able to watch my kids grow up into the lovely young women they have become has been the greatest gift I have been given.
