We have no hair twisters in ours, but I'd trade a couple bad habits we have for this one ; -)Pseudohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10430783970802030846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2932410355772638647.post-11601312230070928212011-08-12T18:43:55.820-06:002011-08-12T18:43:55.820-06:00My six year old twists her hair, just like you, an...My six year old twists her hair, just like you, and pulls out the knots. She gets bald spots, and I've talked to two different pediatricians about it, but the don't seem to be too concerned. They both tell me it's self-soothing behavior. She's done it since she was a baby...she started by twirling my hair when I was nursing her!Ginny Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14579981666900022792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2932410355772638647.post-64743973857301362312011-08-12T09:31:26.306-06:002011-08-12T09:31:26.306-06:00I think that's a cute little bad habit. But I always thought the girls who played with their hair in school were cuter and trendier than me. : )Camillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04154831275765419510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2932410355772638647.post-78192946492321880392011-08-11T17:28:47.765-06:002011-08-11T17:28:47.765-06:00This is a habit that I've never developed. The worst part is that she eats it... gross, I know. She does it as a soothing behavior (when she's tired/upset) but the thought of putting my kid under the knife to extract a ball of hair from her stomach terrifies me.

At least you don't eat yours?!? Im a nail biter...so is my mom and so was my grandma...both of my girls are too. They have done it since they were old enough to figure out how to do it. Its something I have been working really hard at quitting. I can quit for about a month or so and then I do it all over again!shortmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18083148312260283511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2932410355772638647.post-21158407001630947362011-08-11T09:16:03.770-06:002011-08-11T09:16:03.770-06:00Well. I've had this same habit since I was a little girl- and that was a LONG time ago!Empty Nesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14060983954463697344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2932410355772638647.post-15612910032525104382011-08-11T08:50:26.400-06:002011-08-11T08:50:26.400-06:00My best friend is the same way with her hair. Your relation of Bruiser picking up on it does make me wonder if this sort of habit is nature or nurture. Did he pick it up from you or is it programmed into him? Interesting stuff, why can't they run studies on THIS instead of which colors monkeys prefer?
You're linked!Sprite's Keeperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00790341033920919000noreply@blogger.com
